Analysis Services for the Paper, Pulp, and Chemical Industries
Contact us to receive example analyses. You will see how detailed our analyses are. We assure you the depth of our work goes far beyond any other lab.
Pulp and Paper Services, LLC provides FTIR analysis of a variety of materials for many industries. We can analyze plastics, inks, adhesives, additives, films, chemicals, and coatings in addition to pulp and paper products. We utilize a Bruker Vector 22 FTIR spectrophotometer, with an ATR Pike accessory. We can analyze solids, liquids, and gases.
FTIR samples can be submitted for material identification, deformulation, competitor analysis, defect analysis, coating analysis, polymer analysis, and chemical analysis. We provide qualitative, semi-quantitative, and quantitative analysis by constructing calibration curves of the material in question.
FTIR spectroscopy (infrared spectroscopy) is also a valuable tool to aid with product development and litigation support.
We use atomic absorption spectroscopy, optical microscopy, microphotography, solvent extractions, in conjunction with FTIR spectroscopy to provide a detailed and complete analysis.
We Excel at FTIR Analysis!
Customers are always impressed with the quality and detail of our work.

A customer wanted to know if a product they had was a polyamine or a poly DADMAC.
The samples were dried and scanned on our FTIR. As you can see by the spectral comparisons to the right show that the product was a poly DADMAC.

We Perform FTIR Analysis for All Industries, Not Just Pulp & Paper.
We have over 400,000 reference spectra in our search database.
We utilize our own database and also the Bio-Rad: Know It All Software which provides many tools to analyze spectra.
Tools include: deformulation, mixture analysis, and graphical presentation of functional groups.
